The cocktail reception and award presentation ceremony of the Cathay Pacific Hong Kong International Wine & Spirit Competition (HWIWSC) was held in Hong Kong on Nov. 11, 2018. This time, “Jiangji Distillery 508 Gaoliang” won the “Trophy Award” as the best Chinese spirit.
Thomas Ling, Malaysia’s first certified sommelier (CMS, UK) and the chief judge on the Wine & Spirit panel of HKWISC, highly commended the products of Jiangji Distillery. He congratulated “Jiangji Distillery 508 Gaoliang” on winning the Trophy Award in this competition and gave a comprehensive evaluation of this new product, highlighting the balance of the liquor body and its rich taste. He didn’t miss the chance to remind of last year’s Gold Medal and Trophy Award winner JOYOUTH, from the same distillery, winning the 2017 competition for the elegant, charming and fruity flavor and floral smell. Consumers with a preference for light-aroma spirit certainly would have to try this typical light-aroma baijiu, its perfect balance with other ingredients making it great for mixologists. Praise did not stop there, but also extended to Jiangxiaobai’s flagship product S100 for its balanced aroma and fresh note of grass, making the liquor the perfect weekend drink.
These international honors don’t come by chance and certainly have proved global recognition of Jiangxiaobai's product quality. Of course, Jiangxiaobai, which has always been committed to "the Renaissance of the Old Flavor", will not stop here. It will keep embracing a new generation and opening up a whole new world for traditional Chinese liquor.
